I was wanting something to freshen up my kitchen for spring. I’m trying to decide what I want to do on some bigger projects such as fabric for my curtains, painting my island, and maybe even painting the cabinets. In the meantime, I decided to hang a collection of my favorite plates and a little chalkboard I made last year.

I found the oval plate at Canton last year, the blue and white one from a yard sale, the Paris plate is from Anthropologie, the red and white is from a yard sale and the floral/ gold was my great great Aunt Clara Mae’s. The yard sale tray was turned upside down and painted with chalkboard paint. It has shared many messages already! The teapot lamp was a gift from my MIL! So sweet!
I do love how it turned out (excuse the light switches). Plenty of color and lots of fun to write messages on the chalkboard. In this season I feel so very blessed – God’s provision, his protection and his love never cease to amaze me! Have a great day!

I am so thankful for the many blessings in my life. Without Jesus I would have nothing. I am a wife to my best friend, and a mother to three amazing boys. My passion is decorating our home so that it may be a refuge of love and kindness for all who enter. Welcome to Vista Trail Designs - a place to share creative ideas and projects that I'm working on! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you choose to do so often...
