Book Page Canvas – BOO!

Some of my favorite things in blogland this year have been the Book Page Crafts. The Book Page Canvas has shown up in many different forms across blogs, catalogs and pinterest so I decided to try it out for myself! A girl can only resist so much temptation! I started out with a blank canvas, foam brushes, orange craft paint and Mod Podge – all from Hobby Lobby. My book was from a yard sale years ago.   I began by tearing the pages out of the book and Mod Podging them onto my canvas using the foam paint brush. It then looked like this… I wanted it to look crinkly and old so...

Fall Fireplace Mantel

It’s Fall Y’all! Here in Texas we are still experiencing some warm (ok, hot!!) weather, but I am so ready for the season of Fall! I could not wait to start decorating. This week I have been working on my fireplace mantel, and here’s what I came up with… I wanted to have something big to use as a backdrop so I began with a large frame and mat that I got at Hobby Lobby.  I also wanted to make something and decided on a book page canvas that was multipurpose.  I love to decorate for fall, but in September...
