Spring Door Decor

Come on in! The weather here is amazing and definitely makes it fun to have people over!  I’m so glad you are here! When I saw this wreath in the Pottery Barn catalogue, I loved it! However, I turned the page and kept going. When I saw this wreath at Knock Off Decor, I took a second glance and decided to try to make it myself! What I liked about it – the white flowers, the simplicity, and the green moss.  I also like that today it says Spring, but with the simple addition of a little nest and eggs it will say Easter (which is how PB actually sold theirs).  I love multi purpose...

Repurposing Old Lamps

I found these lamps at a yard sale years and years ago.  They have worn several different hats (shades and colors) over the years.  I really love the shape of them and wanted to repurpose them, but they were WAY out of style.  Like many of you, I tend to start a project and then move on to a new one before the first is complete.  Some refer to this as Designer’s ADD.  Anyway, I decided to wait to start on the lamps until I had a vision for them. This begins a whole collection of items to repurpose when...

Seasonal Dining Design

Simple things you can do to repurpose your seasonal table decorations from Halloween to Thanksgiving  I love Fall for so many reasons, but most of all it’s the time spent with family and friends. Setting everyday life aside to reconnect, encourage and just hang out! While I love to look at beautiful photographs of perfectly laid tables mine are usually far more simple than that. DINING ROOM Typically, our “formal” dining table is full of activity that does not include eating.  On any given day, it might be a...

Pillows

Who does a post about pillows? Me – I LOVE pillows!  On the bed, on the sofa, on the inside, on the outside – I think I could write a Dr.  Seuss book about it.  Here is a pillow I saw at www.potterybarn.com (one of my favorite stores in the world!). This pillow is canvas AND has monogramming, so that automatically get’s a gold star in my book. Pillows are a great way to change out decor for the seasons.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Some of them I have made and some I have...
